Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

At Affinity Care WA, we understand how important it is to live in a home that supports your independence, comfort, and lifestyle. Through our partnerships with trusted and high-quality housing providers, we can help you find a home that’s safe, accessible, and designed around your needs with 24-hour onsite support available where required.You can choose from a variety of living arrangements:

– Shared homes with other people living with disability, where you can enjoy a sense of community and shared support.

– Private villas or apartments, where you can live independently while still being close to others who share the same support team.

To be eligible for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding, you must have:

– Extreme functional impairment – requiring significant support from others for many daily activities such as mobility, personal care, meal preparation, or general self-care. This is in addition to any assistive technology or home modifications; and/or

– Very high support needs – needing a high level of one-on-one assistance from paid support workers for a substantial part of each day.

– If SDA funding isn’t yet approved but you require an accessible home, our team can work with you to explore how your existing NDIS Core Supports (Available SIL or Drop-in Support hours) can be utilised to help you access suitable SDA accommodation. This approach allows you to continue living safely and comfortably while we support you in working toward SDA eligibility.
