Akshay Dutta

Managing Director | Registered Nurse

Akshay Dutta is the Founding Director of Affinity Care WA and an accomplished Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience across the disability, aged care, and healthcare sectors. Guided by a deep commitment to compassion, quality, and integrity, Akshay has dedicated his career to improving the lives of individuals living with disabilities through holistic, person-centred care.

His journey in healthcare has been defined by progressive leadership and an unwavering focus on excellence. Having held key roles such as Clinical Nurse, Clinical Manager, and Residential Manager, Akshay has developed extensive expertise in clinical governance, staff development, and compliance — ensuring that every participant receives care that is both safe and empowering.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Akshay combines clinical knowledge with strategic vision to lead Affinity Care WA as a values-driven organisation built on respect, empathy, and innovation. His leadership approach fosters teamwork, continuous improvement, and community inclusion — reflecting his belief that every individual deserves to live with dignity, independence, and purpose.

Through his dedication and leadership, Akshay continues to inspire his team and shape Affinity Care WA into one of Western Australia’s most trusted and compassionate disability support providers.

Simar Sandhu

Managing Director | Registered Nurse

Simar is a passionate and compassionate healthcare professional who brings a unique blend of clinical experience, frontline insight, and leadership to Affinity Care WA. With over eight years of experience across the disability and acute healthcare sectors, Simar has dedicated his career to improving the lives of individuals living with disabilities.

Beginning his journey as a support worker during his nursing studies, Simar developed a deep understanding of person-centred care from the ground up. His hands-on experience with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams shaped his vision for creating a service that truly places people at the heart of everything it does.

After graduating as a Registered Nurse, Simar worked with the WA Country Health Service, gaining valuable clinical and rural healthcare experience. This exposure strengthened his leadership, resilience, and problem-solving skills—qualities that now underpin his role as Managing Director.

Driven by a deep commitment to compassionate care and quality outcomes, Simar founded Affinity Care WA to bridge the gap between clinical excellence and everyday support. His leadership ensures that every participant receives the right care, from the right people, at the right time.

Hoang Le

Business Development Manager

Hoang is our Business Development Manager, bringing a wealth of experience within the disability and NDIS sector. With qualifications including a Diploma in Community Services, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, and a Master’s in Health Administration, Hoang combines strategic thinking with a strong client-focused approach.

Beginning his career as a Disability Support Worker, Hoang has since held roles as a Support Coordinator, Psychosocial Recovery Coach, and Specialist Support Coordinator. This progression has given him a deep understanding of the NDIS from multiple perspectives and enabled him to develop services that are not only effective but genuinely empowering for participants.

In his current role, Hoang is responsible for driving service excellence, ensuring a seamless experience for clients as well as strengthening relationships with stakeholders across the sector. Hoang is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that promote independence, build capacity, and help participants achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Hoang is an active sports enthusiast and traveller. He is often found doing calisthenics, playing soccer, or exploring new destinations which bring the same energy and passion to his work every day.

Cynthia

Service Manager

Cynthia is a dedicated and passionate professional with extensive experience across the disability and mental health sectors. Beginning her career as a Community Support Worker in aged care and disability services, Cynthia gained valuable hands-on experience in delivering person-centred support to individuals with diverse needs.

In 2021, Cynthia transitioned into the NDIS sector as a Service Coordinator, facilitating tailored supports for people living with disabilities and mental health conditions. Throughout her career, Cynthia has remained deeply committed to promoting the values of choice, control, and inclusion for the people she supports.

Cynthia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development from Murdoch University, a Diploma of Community Services, Certificate IV in Mental Health and Community Services, and a Certificate III in Community Services. These qualifications have equipped Cynthia with a broad and in-depth knowledge of community care and support services.

Currently serving as a Service Manager at Affinity Care, Cynthia oversees daily operations, ensures high standards of service delivery, manages rostering, and drives participant satisfaction. Her role also includes intake and onboarding, working closely with clients to ensure their needs are met from the very beginning of their journey with Affinity Care.

Meenu

Compliance Manager & Trainer

Meenu is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing and brings a strong blend of clinical knowledge, leadership experience, and a genuine passion for person-centred care.

Meenu has worked across a variety of healthcare settings, including five years in hospital environments, followed by 2.5 years in aged care as both a Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager. This diverse background has shaped her practical clinical skills and her ability to support individuals with a wide range of care needs.

In her current role with Affinity Care WA, Meenu contributes as a Clinical Trainer and Compliance Manager, where she supports staff development and helps ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance across services.

Meenu enjoys working across all care settings and has a natural ability to connect with people, which helps her better understand individual needs and deliver more personalised support. She is known for her approachable nature and her commitment to building meaningful relationships with both participants and staff.

Outside of work, Meenu enjoys hiking and travelling, which reflects her love for exploration, balance, and staying active.

Charan

Trainer | Intake officer

We are proud to have Charan as part of our clinical team. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse, Charan brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism to every aspect of his work.

Charan has extensive experience in the disability sector, where his strong clinical expertise and caring approach have supported countless participants in achieving better health outcomes and quality of life. Alongside his ongoing role at Fremantle Hospital, Charan has also dedicated time to palliative nursing, ensuring his clinical skills remain current and his care remains compassionate and person-centred.

Charan is deeply committed to education and skill development. He has spent many years training support staff in key clinical areas such as PEG medication and feeding, colostomy care, epilepsy management, and diabetes management.

Holding a Bachelor of Nursing degree, Charan continues to uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence, safety, and empathy in his practice.

Sakshi

Team Leader

Being a Team Leader Affinity Care WA, Sakshi brings extensive hands-on and leadership experience to her role. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice, and independence for every participant.

Sakshi began her career as a Disability Support Worker, supporting participants with daily living, community access, and complex needs. Through these early experiences, she developed a strong foundation in empathy, communication, and problem-solving. As her career progressed, she took on leadership roles, gaining expertise in staff supervision, care planning, incident management, and NDIS compliance. This journey has given her a deep understanding of effective team leadership and participant-focused service delivery.

In her current role, Sakshi oversees the day-to-day operations of her team, mentors staff, and ensures that all supports align with participant goals and organisational standards. She leads with integrity, clarity, and accountability, fostering an environment where staff feel supported and participants receive consistent, empowering care.

Outside of work, Sakshi enjoys listening to music and spending quality time with her family. She is known for her calm and approachable leadership style, her strong work ethic, and her unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of those she supports.

Rupinder

Team Leader

Rupinder is a Team Leader at Affinity Care WA, bringing a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live safe, independent, and meaningful lives. She holds a Bachelor of Community Services and has practical experience across disability, mental health, youth work, and aged care settings.

Rupinder began her career in the sector as a Youth Worker and Support Coordinator, gaining expertise in person-centred planning, advocacy, and collaborative care. These roles helped her develop strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep understanding of individual needs.

In her current role, Rupinder focuses on delivering respectful, person-centred support in both community and home environments. She prioritises building trusting relationships, promoting independence, and maintaining dignity, ensuring high-quality, empowering care for all participants.

Committed to professional growth, Rupinder has completed training in First Aid, Manual Handling, Food Safety, Fire Safety, Managing Dysphagia, and the Serious Incident Response Scheme. Outside of work, she enjoys community engagement, reading humanitarian literature, and staying active through sports such as cricket, badminton, and table tennis.

Team Leader

Sahil is a Team Leader with experience delivering practical, reliable, and person-centred support to individuals with diverse needs. She is committed to ensuring supports are delivered with respect, safety, and a strong emphasis on individual choice and wellbeing.

Sahil entered the disability sector driven by a genuine desire to support people in living fulfilling and meaningful lives. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with participants requiring assistance with personal care, daily routines, and community participation. Her responsibilities have included following individualised care plans, supporting health and wellbeing needs, and maintaining accurate and timely progress documentation. These experiences have strengthened her interpersonal skills, adaptability, and understanding of the importance of consistent, high-quality support.

In her role as Team Leader, Sahil focuses on building trust, maintaining professional boundaries, and delivering supports that promote independence, dignity, and confidence. She works collaboratively with her team to ensure services are provided safely, ethically, and in alignment with organisational policies and NDIS standards.

Outside of work, Sahil enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new places, and continuing to develop skills that support both her personal growth and professional development.

Aman

Team Leader

Aman is a Daily Team Leader at Affinity Care WA. She brings a person-centred approach to her role, with a focus on dignity, choice, emotional wellbeing, and consistency of care.

Aman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, which has strengthened her skills in organisation, problem-solving, documentation, and the effective use of technology. She later completed a Certificate III in Individual Support, enabling her to transition into the disability sector and gain hands-on experience supporting individuals with daily routines, medication prompts, community participation, and maintaining safe and supportive environments. Through this experience, Aman has developed strong communication skills, adaptability, and a clear understanding of individual needs and person-centred practice.

In her role as Day Team Leader, Aman focuses on delivering respectful, reliable, and high-quality support while building positive and professional relationships with participants and colleagues. She is known for her calm and compassionate approach and works in line with organisational policies, NDIS standards, and best-practice service delivery.

Outside of work, Aman enjoys spending time with her family, staying active through regular walks, and challenging herself with adventurous activities such as skydiving and bungee jumping. She is motivated by continuous learning, personal growth, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Srivani

Team Leader

Srivani is a Daily Team Leader with experience across disability support, emergency care, and community-based services. She is a compassionate healthcare professional who is committed to delivering person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and overall wellbeing.

With a strong academic background in pharmacy and health and wellbeing, Srivani began her career with a solid foundation in clinical practice and medication management. She has since worked across the disability and community sectors, as well as in roles such as Medical Care Assistant and Nurse Assistant in both Australia and New Zealand. This diverse professional background has strengthened her understanding of participant needs, behaviour support, risk management, and multidisciplinary collaboration, while also developing strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

In her current role, Srivani supports participants to work towards their individual goals while ensuring services are delivered safely and in line with personalised support plans. She works closely with participants, families, and support workers, providing guidance, mentoring, and consistent oversight to maintain high standards of care.

Srivani values empathy, cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and professional integrity, and she leads by example in her approach to service delivery. Outside of work, she enjoys continuous learning, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends, helping her maintain a balanced and positive outlook both professionally and personally.
